That sounds great ! I wish you a wonderful trip ! Where is that you are going in Ecuador? I am from Colombia originally and have been in Ecuador! Yes, to learn the basics is so key specially for traveling.

Now there is so much available. I like to practice through songs and stories that inspire me. I think there are some podcasts in Spanish on Spotify you can check out …Duolingo they have one for Spanish and one in French… but you may need have more of the basis so for that already , I like the stories and the way they do it.. that is how I practice my French too…. they may have also some for beginners I don’t recall right now…

Just by starting to listen on regular basis to the sound of the language opens your ear and mind to it easier.

Ah, thank you!! Amazing. Lovely to 'meet' you :) To be honest, I have a wishlist, but I haven't made any fixed plans. I know that I'd love to see the volcanoes and the jungle and just FEEL what it's like to stand with ancient, sacred ground. I've never left Europe in my life, so very excited to experience this beautiful land and language.

Fantastic advice. I'll listen to some songs and open up my ears/mind/heart to it!
